Our Saturday afternoon at Americanafest was spent on top of the world.

To be exact, we were 27 stories on top of it, as we ventured up to the L27 Rooftop Lounge on the roof of Nashville’s downtown Westin hotel for Under the Sun, a showcase presented by Transoceanic Records and Atomic Music Group, with a live stream courtesy of Acme Radio Live.

More scorching hot mid-September temperatures were present, but did nothing to deter festival goers through 14 acts across more than seven hours. The day’s lineup included performances across the Americana spectrum, from bluegrass to heartland rock and everything in between, from the likes of Magnolia Boulevard, Gretchen Peters, JP Harris, Scott Mulvahill, Lauren Morrow, Caleb Caudle, Jesse Terry, Michael Logen, Drivin’ N Cryin’, Suzy Bogguss, Jim Lauderdale, Nicki Bluhm, Strung Like a Horse, and Corb Lund.
