Much earlier in this delightful year of 2019 — back in April, to be exact — we became acquainted with Cincinnati native Josh Mack, when we heard him perform at the Top Writer Series at True Music Room.

Well, Josh has some new music coming in 2020. But, before we get to that, let’s pay a visit to his 2019 full-length effort, The Giant Killer.

In particular, today’s Daily Spinn is “Holy Water.” A gritty tune driven by a strong, deliberate bass groove, “Holy Water” carries a prog-rock-meets-blues sensibility, contained within a spacious atmosphere that gives the single a cosmic, mystifying effect.
