Here’s a little holiday tune for those of you who, like me, want nothing to do with cold weather.

S.S. Ginnie and the Crew — who make their home in the Florida Keys — released their album The Surf Project last month. Closing out the project is “Christmas in Key West,” a sampling of beachy rock and roll in the same lane as Jersey shore legends Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes.

The video for “Christmas in Key West” just dropped yesterday, and features Santa Claus hard at work on making Christmas just right as Ginnie sings about holiday dreams of a tropical getaway. Jolly old St. Nick seems to be thinking similar thoughts; after all, we do see him take a brief surf break, big red suit and all, before returning to take care of business.
