PHOTOS: Lightning 100 Writers Night at Helping Our Music Evolve

For 30 years, Lightning 100 has shone a spotlight on homegrown artists as Nashville’s independent radio station.
Their important work in the community continued on Wednesday night, when they brought their monthly Writers Night to Helping Our Music Evolve (HOME).
The event — set to take place at HOME on the second Wednesday of every month — gave dozens of musicians a chance to be heard. Writers signed up to perform upon arrival to the event, with a total of 20 selected at random to perform two songs each on the HOME stage. Those not selected still had the opportunity to play; the HOME rehearsal space was utilized as a bonus stage, giving writers the chance to perform in an intimate setting on a first-come, first-served basis.
Lightning 100 will be back to do it again at HOME on Wednesday, February 12. Until then, here are some photos to hold you over.
