Los Angeles-based Americana artist Katie McGhie took to your favorite streaming platforms earlier this month to release a re-imagined version of Britney Spears’ first-ever single, “…Baby One More Time.” This isn’t your typical cover — it takes the original and adds witchy, slow-burning southern instrumentation. This makes for a dark and sultry affair, supported by the guitar work of Ray Bergstrom and the production wizardry of Joel Pack of Rigby Road Studios.
