The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Friday, July 24

Long-time Good Friends of the Show Second Player Score — for real, if there’s ever a Best Friends of the Show Hall of Fame, they’re in on the first ballot — are back with what they have dubbed “an angry song, for angry times.”

The single — the aggressive, hard-rocking “Blood Letter” — more than delivers on that promise. Between its thunderous rhythms and the scathing, unapologetic vocals of frontman and guitarist Brian Tashima, “Blood Letter” provides the band and listeners alike with an outlet for the frustration and tension that we’ve all felt at some point in 2020.

Also, this new single is yet another opportunity for us to praise Tashima’s scorching-hot guitar work. As always, his riffs strike an excellent balance between high-powered and tasteful, serving the song while providing the proper dose of edge.

Release some of that tension with “Blood Letter” as today’s Daily Spinn!
