PREMIERE: Katie Cole Meets a Love Conundrum on ‘Hands Tied’

You know how people say, “You’ll fall in love when you least expect it?” Well, it’s true — and often, it happens even when you don’t feel ready.

With that, we check in with Australian-born country songstress Katie Cole. Cole — whose story captivated us about as soon as we arrived in Nashville — released a brand-new video today for her single, “Hands Tied.” Produced by Howard Willing and recorded at Nashville’s esteemed Blackbird Studio, the single is a steady-rocking slice of modern country about finding that love without warning.

“This song is really about falling in love again against your own will,” Cole said. “After a break up, it’s hard to trust that feeling, but the heart wants what it wants. So I decided to put that into a song. It’s an internal battle.”

The video, shot in downtown Nashville and complete with stellar views of Music City’s iconic skyline, was directed by DS Creatives in Nashville, with hair and make up by Dire Image. It’s the latest in a long and growing list and accomplishments for Cole, who visited 19 countries in 2019 touring alongside the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan (solo), AFI, and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
