Daily Spinn: Kenna’s New Season of Music Blooms on ‘Harvest’

A couple of months back, Nashville-based indie pop artist Kenna proclaimed that she was entering into “a new season of music.”

Today, that new season continues to bear fruit with “Harvest,” her latest collaboration with producer Jared Anderson. The presence of cool, new wave synths persists on the new single, while Kenna’s soothing vocal delivers a comforting message about patience and progress — two notions we’ve all learned to hold dear in 2020.

“‘Harvest’ is about having a hard time staying in the moment, being attentive to what’s here right now,” Kenna said. “We’ve all learned a lot during this difficult year. There will always be uncertainty and an abundance of change. A big part of life is learning to shift and shape with the changing winds, without losing heart.”

Certainly — as the seasons change, and a tumultuous 2020 gives rise to new hope in 2021 — this one resonates. Head into your weekend with “Harvest” as today’s Daily Spinn!
