In case you weren’t aware, we’re more than a little excited for our upcoming Live from the 615 Nashville Songwriters Night. You know the one: it takes place this Friday, March 12 at 7 p.m. CT, and features the talents of Timothy Myles, Quinn O’Donnell, and Natasha Blaine. You can get tickets here.

With that, let’s check in with O’Donnell, who released her most recent full-length album, The Best Years of Our Lives Are Behind Us Now, in 2020. The album features the single “Miss Lonely Heart” which, as of writing, has been streamed upwards of 27,000 times on Spotify alone.

It’s easy to understand why: shades of indie rock, pop, and folk blend together beautifully on this deceptively up-tempo single. We call it “deceptively up-tempo,” because “Miss Lonely Heart” features O’Donnell narrating the story of a woman lost in the shuffle. We feel our protagonist’s dissatisfaction jump through the speakers, as she dreams of finding the love and fulfillment that awaits on the other side of feeling stuck.
